Who is responsible

What we collect
- Newsletter: your email address and venue type when you sign up for the discount and playbook. Stored with Klaviyo. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link.
- Contact and wholesale forms: the details you enter, used to answer you. Delivered to us by email via Resend. Legal basis: steps prior to a contract / legitimate interest.
- Orders: name, address, email and payment details, processed by Shopify and its payment providers to fulfil your order. Legal basis: contract; tax records are kept as required by law.
- Hosting logs: our host Vercel processes technical data such as IP address and browser type to deliver and secure the site. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
Cookies, analytics and ads
We store your cart, chosen currency, cookie choice and how you first reached the site (for example which ad, including the ad click ID) in your browser's local storage. This is needed for the shop to work and to know which campaigns bring reservations; it isn't shared with ad networks. When you reserve or sign up, this campaign source is saved with your details.
Vercel Web Analytics counts page views and events without cookies and without identifying you.
Only if you click “Accept” in the cookie banner do we load the Google Ads tag and the Meta pixel, which set cookies to measure which ads lead to reservations. Legal basis: your consent. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
Guides and quiz
When you download a guide or take our quiz, we store your email, venue type and answers in Klaviyo to send your results and occasional tips. With your consent, we may also upload a hashed (encrypted) version of your email to Meta to show our ads to people like you or to exclude you from ads. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us.
Reservations
When you reserve lights we store your name, email, venue, country, number of tables, chosen bundle and campaign source in Klaviyo and email them to our team, to prepare your order and contact you before launch. Legal basis: steps prior to a contract at your request. If you also tick the box for launch news, we add you to our email list (consent, withdraw anytime).
How long we keep data
Email subscribers: until you unsubscribe. Reservations that don't become orders: deleted 12 months after launch. Enquiries: up to 2 years. Order and invoice records: as long as tax law requires (typically 10 years).
Processors
Shopify (checkout), Klaviyo (email and reservations), Resend (form delivery), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Amazon Web Services (image delivery), and with your consent Google and Meta (ad measurement). Where data leaves the EU, transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy of your data, and object to processing, by emailing hello@fliplight.co. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in Lithuania this is the State Data Protection Inspectorate (vdai.lrv.lt).
